After several years, we finally got to mark another state off our list – Maine! Our trip was early in the summer before all the travel craziness, but we still had a few challenges – unexpected flight changes, boat cancellations, and fog so thick we couldn’t tell we were at the highest point on the eastern seaboard. However, we had an amazing time! We visited Belfast, Camden, Bar Harbor, and Rockland. We ate a lot of lobster and saw a lot of lighthouses (Marshall Point was our favorite – the one from Forrest Gump). We took the CAT ferry over to Nova Scotia for a couple of days (cut short by previously mentioned challenges) but got a sampling of Canada and really enjoyed our house on the coast. The temperature difference when we returned home was shocking.
We spent the rest of the summer trying to stay cool and dry. Tyson did neither of those during his week at Scout camp! He clocked almost 60 miles and had quite the stories to tell. He is already back to school – 6th grade! He has signed up for band and we’ll find out soon what instrument he has selected. Until then, we will enjoy the peace and quiet.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THE PICTURES!! The one of Tyson as a baby next to now….lol so funny

Such a wonderful trip! Seems so long ago – I’m ready for some lobster again!!
Tyson’s looking so much like his dad in that last family picture! Looks like a great trip!
